4DX is the first and leading 4D movie technology in the world, designed to offer the most immersive and real cinematic to movie-goers. With over 20 different kinds of signature effects including precise and elaborate seat motions, movements, and vibrations, as well as environmental effects like wind, fog, lightning, strobe lighting, water, and scents-4DX enhances the movies and transforms moments into reality.

4DX will be available for most new release full-length blockbuster movies!

Presently, the 4DX experience can be only found at GSC LaLaport BBCC in Kuala Lumpur, GSC One Utama in Petaling Jaya, GSC IOI City Mall in Putrajaya, GSC Paradigm Mall in Johor Bahru and The Mall, Mid Valley Southkey, Johor Bahru.

4DX tickets cost an additional RM18. For online bookings, an additional RM0.50 booking fee applies. A ticket surcharge also applies for all 3D movies.

4DX films are not necessarily presented in 3D. 3D glasses will be required if the particular movie presented in 3D format. All 3D movies, a ticket surcharge applies for glasses, which must be returned at the end of every show.

Due to safety requirements, 4DX is not recommended for the following audiences:

1. Children aged 4 and under (or under 100cm tall)
2. Guests weighing over 120kg
3. Guests who suffer from high blood pressure, heart condition, back or neck conditions, epilepsy, or any type of serious medical conditions or disabilities
4. Guests who use a wheelchair
5. Guests who are blind or have visual impairment
6. Guests with sensory sensitivities
7. Pregnant woman
8. Guests suffering from breathing problems, such as allergies or scent sensitivities
9. Guests prone to motion sickness

Yes, children are permitted into the 4DX theatre, as long as they are at least 100cm tall, are aged 4 and up, and meet other requirements outlined in the 4DX Safety Guidelines. Please note that children must be seated in their own 4DX seat and not on anyone’s lap. Children must also remain seated throughout the entire movie next to their parent/guardian.

There is a button on the arm rest, which can be used to turn the water effects off. No other effects can be turned on/off. All chairs will move together, and no individual chairs can be stopped. The use of effects varies from film to film.

There is a total 112 seats in the 4DX theatre in GSC Pradigm Mall Johor Bahru. All seats are grouped in sets of four.
